How to issue refunds to your attendees

  • Issuing refunds as an event organizer for any reason if you use Stripe or WePay as your payment processor. 
  • No fees associated with refunds, full amount will be processed.
  • If you use Paypal as your payment processor, you must issue your refund from your Paypal account.


Sometimes as an event organizer you will find your self in the position where you must issue a refund to an attendee. Naturally, we've made this as easy as possible for you. 

In order to issue a refund to any of your attendees, you'll need to be logged in and have the event in question open. Head to the Manage Event dashboard and navigate to the Ticket Sales menu in your left-hand navigation bar. 



From Ticket Sales, you will see each ticket as it's own line with accessible information and actionable buttons. The first one on the left side of the ticket line will be Refund.



After clicking on Refund, you will be presented with a confirmation page confirming you want to refund the purchase. This will refund the entire purchase to the purchaser. Partial refunds are not possible. After confirming the refund, it will be issued and can take 3-5 days to finish depending on the purchaser's financial institution. 

Please note that if more than 60 days have passed from the initial transaction date, it may not be possible to process the refund automatically through the Ticketbud dashboard. In these instances, please contact your payment processor of choice directly for further assistance in processing a refund older than 60 days.
